Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 150g softened butter
  • 100g brown muscovado sugar
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 280g plain flour
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 100g dark chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
  2. Beat butter and sugars until creamy
  3. Beat in vanilla and egg
  4. Add flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt
  5. Stir in chocolate chips
  6. Spoon sized measure of mixture onto baking papered tray
  7. Bake 8-10 minutes until golden brown
  8. Cool on wire rack
