Ingredients
- 280g plain flour
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 165g butter
- 200g white sugar
- 1 egg
- 15 ml water or 1 tbsp orange juice
- 60g molasses
- 25g white sugar
Method
- preheat oven 175 deg C
- sift flour & dry ingredients
- cream together butter & sigar
- beat in egg
- add water & molasses
- add dry ingredients
- shape into walnut sized balls
- roll in remaining sugar
- place in greaseproof paper
- bake 8-10 mins
- cool on wire rack, fridge for 1-2 hour
