Pear Cake

Ingredients

  • 125g butter
  • 4 large pears (or 6 small)
  • 150g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 60g flour
  • 20 ground almonds
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder

Method

  1. preheat oven 180 deg C
  2. melt butter and cool
  3. wash, peel & cut pears
  4. lay fruit at bottom of greased pan
  5. cream butter & sugar until mixture whitens
  6. add flour, eggs, almonds & baking powder
  7. mix well
  8. add melted butter and mix again
  9. pour batte over fruit
  10. bake 40-50 mins
  11. cool on rack
