Ingredients
- 125g butter
- 4 large pears (or 6 small)
- 150g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 60g flour
- 20 ground almonds
- 1.5 tsp baking powder
Method
- preheat oven 180 deg C
- melt butter and cool
- wash, peel & cut pears
- lay fruit at bottom of greased pan
- cream butter & sugar until mixture whitens
- add flour, eggs, almonds & baking powder
- mix well
- add melted butter and mix again
- pour batte over fruit
- bake 40-50 mins
- cool on rack
